The REVERB team is absolutely thrilled to have Active Admin featured as the OpenSource project in the Ruby OpenSource Challenge! As REVERB’s founder Greg Bell is Active Admin’s creator, the Ruby OpenSource Challenge crew appointed him Chief of the Expert Panel for the Challenge. He will assist in the final judging after the Challenge ends on July 31st and, in an interview with RubyOSC, he offered some great insight and advice on what to focus on as a competitor.
Currently, there are over 800 registrants spanning 6 continents vying for the various prizes including an iPad3, Kindle Fire, cash, and other goodies from the Challenge sponsors who include Pusher, Heroku, the Barcelona Ruby Conference, 10Gen, Arrrr Camp, Peep Code, Railscasts, Cloudmailin.com, and Netguru.
Participants are challenged with improving Active Admin: that includes fixing bugs, adding new features, and updating documentation. If you haven’t signed up yet and are interested in doing so, head on over to the Ruby OpenSource Challenge website and get at it!
Congratulations to Greg and the Active Admin team and contributors, and best of luck to participants in the Ruby OpenSource Challenge!
